Construct System Administration
Set Up an SKP System as a Construct Data Source
Setting up a Syniti Knowledge Platform system as a Construct data source has a few advantages:
-
The connection information can be utilized by multiple modules.
-
There is one centralized location to enter connection information.
To set up a system as a Construct data source:
-
Log in to the Syniti Knowledge Platform.
-
Create a connection where the
-
Connection Type is SQL Server
-
Hostname, Port, Username, Database, SKP Connectors fields are populated
NOTE: Database is a required parameter in order for Construct to know which database to use when querying tables/views.
-
Usage is Construct
NOTE: Instead of creating a new connection, users can edit an existing connection. If an existing connection is edited clear the cache by clicking the Clear Cache button on the Parameters page in Construct.
-
-
Access Construct.
-
Select Admin > Data Sources in the Navigation menu.
-
Register a data source where the
-
Connection ID is the system connection created with the Usage set to Construct
-
Connector ID is the SKP connector that allows the Syniti Knowledge Platform to communicate with Construct. If a Connector ID is not specified, the Preferred SKP Connector (from the system connection in the Syniti Knowledge Platform) is used.
